JOB Title: Payroll & Accounts Payable
Reports to: Controller
FLSA status: Non-exempt
Purpose of Job: To ensure timely and accurate payroll, as well as payments to vendors and to provide customer service to building managers.

Essential Job Functions:

-Process payroll through ADP
-Post invoices into AMSI.
-Generate accounts payable.
-Research vendor statements, phone calls & discrepancies.
-File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.
-Organize and match returns paperwork.
-Process rent and cash receipts.
-Process refunds.
-Disburse payments.
-Provide customer service for building managers.
-Work closely with Director of Operations to ensure that checks are cut to vendors on a consistent basis and in a timely manner.
-Order office supplies.
-Assist with general administrative duties as requested
-Other duties as requested by Staff Accountant or Director of Operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

-General knowledge of ADP payroll systems
-General knowledge of accounting concepts and understanding of general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to work as a team player
-Ability to multi-task
-Demonstrates a desire for continuous professional development
-Demonstrates ethical behavior and integrity at all times
-Demonstrates professional appearance and good hygiene at all times
-Takes initiative to anticipate problems
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet application, Word and Outlook

Working Conditions:

-95% sitting at a desk in front of a computer.
-Occasional lifting of boxes
